My First Book Launch

It’s hard to believe I am two weeks from launching my first published book (Practical Evangelism: A Yankee Christian in King David’s Court). I am excited to share it with everyone, but the steps to get here have all been eye-opening. I will post links to purchase it (ebook or paperback) on Amazon. The launch day is supposed to be November 22nd. If you sign up for my email list, I will send a note to you when the book officially goes live!

I didn’t want this to be a post about the process, so instead, I wanted my readers and friends to share similar experiences. At the core of my coming book was a trip (well… five trips) to Israel for a job that was supposed to be only two to three weeks and turned into eight months of time. The trip covered one of the most brutal years of my life, but it was wonderfully fruitful despite that. This time in Israel opened my eyes to things I had taken for granted while living in the United States. It made me realize that I needed some priority changes in my life.

In the comments below, would you be willing to share about a difficult or challenging time in your life that blessed you when you look back? It doesn’t have to be long or elaborate. I can think of quite a few in my life. When I was a kid, I mowed a lot of lawns to purchase my Atari 400 computer. It was the groundwork for how I learned to write code and the building blocks for my main source of income.

What was something in your life that was simultaneously unexpected, challenging, but rewarding? I’d love to know.
